Kara J. Trott is founder, board chair and senior advisor at Quantum Health, an industry-leading healthcare navigation and coordination company dedicated to making it easy for members to make sense of their medical benefits. Its consumer-centric approach strives to improve health outcomes for employees while driving cost efficiency for employers.1
Established by Ms. Trott in 1999 to address the growing complexity of the consumer healthcare landscape,2 Quantum Health today has over 500 clients and more than 3 million members. It has been consistently recognized for its workplace culture, customer service, innovative technology and growth trajectory by publications such as Inc., Fortune and Columbus Business First, as well as a wide range of industry organizations.3 Since 2009, it has been included in the Women Presidents Organization’s listing of the 50 Fastest Growing Women Owned/Led Companies.4
Before launching Quantum Health, Ms. Trott was a corporate attorney with the firm Bricker & Eckler and a strategic marketing consultant at RPA International. She graduated cum laude from Ohio Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts in politics and philosophy and earned a Juris Doctor with honors from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
Ms. Trott is actively engaged with both of her alma maters and her community. She is a member and executive committee member of the Ohio Wesleyan University Board of Trustees, sits on the National Council for Ohio State’s Moritz College of Law and is a past member of Ohio State’s Foundation Board. She also serves on the Governing Board of Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana; the Advisory Board of the Ohio Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association; and is a founding member of the Tiffany Circle Society of the American Red Cross.5
In response to her corporate and volunteer leadership, Ms. Trott has been honored with numerous awards throughout her career. She was named one of Modern Healthcare’s Top 25 Women Leaders, Columbus CEO Healthcare Executive of the Year, Ernst & Young’s Regional Entrepreneur of the Year, Female Entrepreneur of the Year from the Stevie® Awards for Women in Business, the Small Business Association’s Businessperson of the Year, Smart Business Healthcare Executive of the Year and Smart Business Smart 50. Ms. Trott also received the C200 Luminary Award, the Key4Women Achieve Award and the Women Presidents Organization Mary Lehman MacLachlan Economic Empowerment Award. She was inducted into the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges Hall of Excellence and is the recipient of the Moritz College of Law Distinguished Alumna Award.
