Jeff Alter leads Sound Physicians with a deep commitment to improving patient care. Focused on building a premier medical group, he ensures that the communities Sound serves receive high-quality, localized care.
Previously, Jeff was the CEO of Summit Health, guiding one of the largest independent multispecialty and urgent care medical groups. He also served as Executive Vice President of Anthem Health Solutions and President of IngenioRx, managing clinical and network analytics for nearly 44 million lives.
At UnitedHealthcare, Jeff was CEO of the commercial group, overseeing health benefits for nearly 30 million consumers, including Fortune 100 companies and military personnel in the TRICARE West Region.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing and an MBA in finance from St. John’s University. He serves on several nonprofit and for-profit boards, including The Long Island Association and St. John’s University.
Jeff and his wife, Lisa, are proud parents of four children and reside on Long Island, N.Y.
