As Chief Commercial Officer for Quantum Health, Bill oversees all growth and client experience programs. He was most recently the CEO of the Employer and Individual business for UnitedHealthcare, a $60 billion division of UnitedHealthcare Group, serving over 27 million members.
Prior to being named CEO of UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual, Bill led the company’s local markets business, serving the health coverage and wellbeing needs of employers and organizations with 2,000 to 3,000 employees across 24 health plans in four regions. As Local Markets CEO, Bill had responsibility for $48 billion in revenue, 250,000 employer groups and more than 15 million members nationwide. He also served as UnitedHealthcare’s New York Health Plan CEO and Northeast Regional CEO. Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, Bill held various sales leadership positions at Oxford Health Plan, NYLCare and MetLife.
He sits on the board of Each One Counts Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides grant funding to programs dedicated to easing the physical and emotional suffering of children with terminal or chronic illness and has been on the New York State Business Council Board of Directors since 2009.
Bill graduated from Hofstra University in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in finance. He currently sits on the Dean's Advisory Board for Hofstra’s Zarb School of Business. He is also an advisor to private equity and smaller startups in the healthcare space.
