Health Information Analyst

Relevant Work Experience: 5+ years experience in healthcare informatics

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Management Information Systems or related field.

Role: Creative, detail-oriented, analytical professional needed to perform data manipulation and create canned reports. Candidate will also function as a back-up to performance analysts during peak months.

Responsibilities:

• Manipulate raw data into usable, actionable information for management purposes with high attention to accuracy
• Serve as a resource for specialized data analysis projects to both internal work groups and external clients (employers, healthcare providers, stop loss carriers, business partners)
• Assist in development of reporting capabilities for monitoring tracking and trending based on project specifications

Skills / Qualifications:

• Strong background in compiling data, creating reports and report deliverables.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL Query Analyzer, Crystal Reports and MS Excel.
• Ability to manipulate various sources of information and large data sets into clearly articulated reports.
• Knowledge of clinical analysis tools in health insurance or care management setting preferred.
• Analytical ability and interpersonal skills needed to establish and maintain relationships with internal customers.
• Knowledge of clinical benchmarking data (e.g. NCQA, HEDIS, etc) a plus.
